The latest information on the Korean version of the Money Heist. The success of the Netflix series Money Heist turned out to be popular with South Korean audiences. For this success, two South Korean film production houses even wanted to make their versions.
The two production houses, namely BH Entertainment, which made A Single Rider and Contents Zium, launched Itaewon Class as reported by Variety, which was announced to be working on the production of the drama version of the Money Heist series.
“Over the years, Korean content, such as La Casa de Papel (Original title Money Heist) has transcended boundaries and captured the attention of global audiences through its unique storytelling and culture,” said Alex Pina, chief director of the original series.
“For that reason, I was captivated by the possibility that the Korean version of La Casa de Papel (there is),” said Alex again.
According to the same source, the Korean adaptation of the Korean version of Money Heist will be directed by Kim Hong-sun, who has helmed TV dramas such as “The Guest”, “Voice”, and “Black”.
Storyline Money Heis
This Spanish crime drama tells the story of a group of thieves who commit their crimes in the Royal Mint of Spain. They are led by a criminal mastermind known as the “Professor”. Mimin personally expects the Korean adaptation to be set in a city like Seoul!
According to Netflix, the adaptation will be set on the Korean peninsula and center around a gang member recruited by a professor, hostages, and a task force team handling a robbery.
The Korean version of Money Heist itself, directed by Kim Hong Sun, is “famous for working on the fantasy-crime genre.
Meanwhile, the script will be written by Ryu Yong Jae and his team, who worked on the Netflix original series My Holo Love and tvN’s Psychopath Diary. His co-writers include Kim Hwan Chae and Choe Sung-Jun.
Netflix officially announced the cast for the new Korean drama adapted from the popular Spanish original series “Money Heist” aka “La casa de Papel”.
According to a Netflix press release, the Korean version of the series will feature several well-known Korean stars, including Yoo Ji-Tae (“The Swindlers”, “Money”, “Svaha: The Sixth Finger”) as Professor and Kim Yunjin (“Seven Days”, “Ode to My Father”, “Lost, Mistresses”) as the inspector named Seon Woojin of the Task Force Team.
This Korean adaptation of “Money Heist” is set on the Korean peninsula and will breathe new life into the original story.
With a total of 12 episodes, the series centers on the members of a group recruited by the Professor, the hostages, and the Task Force Team that tackles robberies.
