Synopsis Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Kim Bok Joo is a weightlifter who won several Olympics. He is called an ace in his team. One day she meets a handsome man – Jung Joon Hyung, a swimmer at the same University, Haneol Sports University. Their meeting and acquaintance were initially peppered with misunderstandings, but eventually, they realized they had known each other since childhood. They were in the same class in elementary school. Bok Joo once saved Joon Hyung when he was about to fall out of the window. Joon Hyung prefers to approach and call Bok Joo “Fat”, his nickname as a child.
Bok Joo has a father – Kim Chang Gul and an uncle – Kim Dae Hoo. His father owns the restaurant “Bok Fried Chicken” which sometimes becomes a hangout place for Bok Joo and his friends. Bok Joo’s father has hemodialysis which makes him go to the hospital almost every day for therapy. Meanwhile, the uncle works as an extra actor and often helps Bok Joo’s father at the restaurant.

Storyline Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
One day, Bok Joo wants to return the dressing table that his father took from the street. She is helped by Jung Jae Yi, a doctor at a diet clinic. This man drives Bok Joo crazy. Bok Joo also decides to register as a member at the doctor’s clinic so that he can see him at any time. Bok Joo was confused because the doctor turned out to be Joon Hyung’s brother.
Joon Hyung – a great swimmer, is known to have some kind of trauma that made him fail to focus on starting and got disqualified in several swimming matches he participated in. Young Joon Hyung was raised by his uncle and aunt, Jae Yi’s parents. His mother remarried, left Joon Hyung, and settled in Canada.
At Hansol University, Joon Hyung has an ex-girlfriend who is also a gymnast, Song Si Hoo. When Si Hoo returns from Taereung athlete’s guesthouse to Haneol, he turns out to be Bok Joo’s roommate. Si Hoo has done sweet things several times to get Joon Hyung’s attention to come back. But Joon Hyung seems to have no feelings anymore and sees him as a friend.
One day, seeing Bok Joo and Joon Hyung hanging out together, a jealous Si Hoo finds Bok Joo’s diet clinic membership card and sends it secretly to the weightlifting team’s training room. As a result, Bok Joo is given a punishment by his coach. Joon Hyung also has a senior in college – Kim Ki Suk who often pranks him. It turns out that Kim Ki Suk has feelings for Si Hoo, Joon Hyung’s ex-lover.
One day Joon Hyung’s biological mother returned to Korea. She is happy and thinks her mother misses her. But Joon Hyung was disappointed because his mother came back not to meet him but because he wanted to borrow some money from his uncle and aunt for the operation costs of his son, Emilia.
Joon Hyung realizes that the feelings he has for Bok Joo are more than just friends. With his courage, he expresses his love for Bok Joo. At first, Bok Joo only thought of Joon Hyung as a friend. But because of the process of their togetherness that has been intertwined, Bok Joo finally decides to give his feelings to Joon Hyung.
Bok Joo and Joon Hyung have had to face several dilemmas in their relationship. Misunderstanding to LDR’s. It is trust in each other that strengthens their relationship and makes their youth story have a happy ending.
